Take a long glass and fill with ice - (Preferably whilst in your beachwear by the pool)

One Parts Aperol;

Two Parts Soda;

Three Parts Prosecco;

Add a slice of orange (rub the glass rim with the orange rind first)

Stand back and boogie...

This aperitif has taken Europe and the States by storm this summer. It was only a matter of time before it happened here...

Aperol was launched in 1919 at the Padua International Fair. Created by the Barbieri brothers,
Aperol soon became one of the Italians’ favourite liqueur. It is light on alcohol at only 11 per cent
by volume, but has a rich, complex taste deriving from the infusion of a blend of high-quality herbs
and roots. The original recipe has remained unchanged and a secret to this day.

For those who prefer a slightly less sweet spritz, use Campari instead of Aperol.
