A strong vintage for Pinot Noir in the Yarra Valley, both upper and lower. The wines benefited from the longer hang time provided by a cool January and February, allowing flavours to fully develop.
100% Yarra Valley fruit, predominantly hand-picked
Harvested Feb-March 2019
10% whole bunch fermented
Hand plunged in open fermenters
Combination of yeasts including indigenous fermentation
Matured in French oak for 9 months, 10% of which was new
4 days of cold soaking at 10C preferment
Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years
