"Includes 10% grenache. The old vines range between 35 and 160yo, all situated in the Eden Valley, open-fermented, 14 days on skins, matured in French oak (20% new), 250 dozen made. It is a highly fragrant wine, the grenache contributing to the fresh red and black cherry fruits." JH 96 Aug 2020

Very small parcels of fruit from vineyards up to 100 years old are hand-picked,
fermented with some whole-bunches and blended to make this traditional Barossan
wine. Racked once during elevage of 12 months in larger barrels (some new) and
always with a small addition of Old Vine Grenache for balance. Showing all the
richness of fruit you would expect from Barossan Shiraz at its best.
