94 Points - James Suckling:
"Blackberry and black-cherry aromas with lavender, cedar and hints of cloves and white pepper, following through to a medium body with ultra-fine tannins and a beautiful, creamy finish. A little tight and reserved now. Another impressive PSI. Give it until 2022." (Sep 2021).

Having established Pingus as a new benchmark for greatness in Spanish wine, Peter Sisseck has embarked on a new quest: to produce a wine that captures the soul of Ribera del Duero. And he intends to do so by harnessing the passion of the region's growers who have, for far too long, lacked the tools, capital, and vision to make wine that is truly theirs.

PSI is the 23rd letter in the Greek alphabet and is a joint project based on fruit produced by local grape growers from old Tempranillo vines. The goal is to help these producers and save these old vines. Peter Sisseck's recent project, PSI, has involved a lengthy and meticulous study of the greatest potential vineyard sites in Ribera, with the laudable aim of protecting the region's precious, but increasingly rare old bush vines, found around the region, but particularly in the sub-zone of La Horra. Once the top sites are identified, Sisseck pays a premium for the growers' fruit, in return for a promise not to grub them up. The result is a "give back" to the region wine that also expresses the "soul" of Ribera.
