The Turkey Flat vineyards and winery are now situated on the historic Section One property in the centre of the Barossa. The Schulz family became owners of the Turkey Flat property in around 1865 and while they continued to tend the ancient vineyard, they also developed a thriving butchers business.
Bucking the notion that Rosé is an afterthought, our 'Prince of Pink' has a special place in our hearts & is crafted with a clear purpose. We create the lifted palate of bright, primary fruits by placing rosey-cheeked Grenache in its starring role. The considered additions of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon & Mataro add tannin and intriguing elements of spice & herbaceousness that have come to be this wine's hallmark.
Sourced from specific sites achieving perfect yields promoting prominent primary fruit while retaining appealing palate cleansing crispness.
"Pale salmon pink. Grenache leads mataro by the nose (pun regretted) in what is one of Australia's best rosés, year in, year out. It's dry, but has spice and red berry fruits to spare, and won't be found lacking wherever and whenever you choose to enjoy it." 94 points.

A classic wine, at least to my way of thinking. Raspberry frogs, musk, a subtle earthiness, spice dusted strawberry. It’s spicy and peppery in texture for sure, fresh and clean acidity, a blood orange tang, with a red fruit and dusty finish of good length. Lovely peppery and succulent rosé with a pleasingly earthy feel, likely due to the Mataro component. A little different from prior years, but still top shelf. Yes.
