Organic beer hand crafted in Umbria. It is called Merabirra (Blonde and IPA) and is made from barley malt cultivated on a marginal plot of about five hectares in Montefalco, next to the Sagrantino vineyards. It is based on ingredients exclusively from the Umbrian territory. The idea and raw materials come from Marco Caprai, while the recipe was refined with brewer Matteo Minelli from Birra Flea in Gualdo Tadino (Umbria) which uses water only from local springs. Inedit was created in 2008 by Ferran Adrià, and his team of sommeliers from elBulli who believed in the need for a beer to accompany and compliment the varied flavours found in modern gastronomy.
