Vermentino is a white wine varietal indigenous to Sardinia but also known by other names in Italy and France. One common feature of all forms is most obviously their refreshing acidity and attractive aromas of peach, lemon peel, dried herbs and a whiff of saline minerality. Serve ice cold.

The name refers to Sant’Antioco Island and to the South Western coastal areas of Sardinia, which in the past had been important Phoenician colonies, where now the Vermentino vineyards of Sardus Pater are planted.

Established in the 1940s, Sardus Pater has long been focused on paying tribute to the history of the island it calls home. Each label features images of ancient Sardinia relics and their wine is created with traditional winemaking methods in mind. This Vermentino is classic Sardinian, from the unique saltiness on the palate to the hints of wax on the nose. Grab a bottle of this super tasty wine and invite yourself to a history lesson!
