The 2017 Morrison Vineyard Pinot Noir originates from the Lowburn subregion, one of the Central Otago's warmer sites. It features scents of cola and root beer, joined by ripe black cherries and loam. Medium to full-bodied, it's riper and rounder than the other current releases from Mount Edward, offering a useful point of difference. Supple tannins and a smooth, lingering finish suggest it may be consumed now, although it should still drink well for at least another five years. JC Sept 2021.
