Bissoni Sangiovese Superiore Girapoggio 2019 DOC (Organic)(Gold)
Awarded Gold Medal and "People's Crown" , voted by readers of Vini Buoni d'Italia. Raffaella Bissoni is a remarkable woman whom we first met in 2015. We had been told by the conoscenti that she has been leading a quiet revolution in Romagna to reinstate the region as an internationally reknowned producer of sangiovese. Given that Tuscany has long held the spotlight for all sangiovese wines we were both curious and skeptical. That was until we tried her wines. They are outstanding and represent excellent value. The winery now exports to 10 countries, with the USA being the largest taker. Bissoni's wine-making philosophy is quite plain and...

Devil's Staircase Central Otago Pinot Noir 2022
Made by the team at Rockburn. Winery Note: Our Devil’s Staircase wines are inspired by the winding road leading from Queenstown to Kingston along the shores of Lake Wakatipu. Sourced from several Central Otago vineyards, the Devil’s Staircase Pinot Noir takes the willing down into the realm of decadence and Bacchanalian delights. Here, everything is pleasure spiced up with a bit of naughty. The unrelenting Central Otago environment tortures the vines whose twisted limbs produce a wine worthy of absolution; strong and sensual with lashings of dark fruit, sinfully succulent and devilishly good. The flavours are practically immoral, full of...
