I Progni Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore 2015 was listed as one of the 100 BEST BUY WINES in Italy in the Guide Book "I Vini d'italia 2017 de L'Espresso." We thought the 2017 was even better. We were right....it too was awarded BEST VALUE RED by the Veronelli Guide.



Grapes: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Croatina e Sangiovese

Production method: "Ripasso-wine": initial fermenting stage in October follewed by a second fermentation in March on the sweet lees of Recioto

Ageing:
18 months in Slavonian oak casks (70%) and in barriques (30%)
4 months in the bottle for the final ageing process


Full-bodied and intense Venetian red wine. The bouquet has attractive notes of blackcurrant, red fruit, cinnamon, tobacco, anise and licorice on balsamic background. The taste is fresh, smooth, fruity, with smooth tannins.
