Very deep red/purple hue, an excellent colour, the bouquet filled with smoky charcuterie, latent berry fruit and a touch of reduction. The wine is quite intense and focused on the palate, with some firmness and fleshy texture. It has bright acidity and lovely meaty and fleshy touches, which are both flavour and texture related.
